Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Screening in Urban Chinese Setting.

چکیده

 Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is associated with elevated risk of severe perinatal complications and developing type 2 diabetes (T2DM) for both mothers and offspring, and screening and intervention are recognized as an effective way to reduce these risks[1].  The incidence of GDM was 17.5% by a 2013 cohort study of 17186 pregnant women in China[2].  GDM screening and intervention were conducted in many hospitals in China according to the literature[3-4], however, lacking evaluation from an economic perspective up to now.
